This year we were joined by two new players, Jim Garvey (Secretary) and Nick Rose, as John Beaumont, Phil Chadwick and Mike Brain were unable to attend and with the weather kind for the Saturday Stableford competition we looked forward to handing back the Wooden Spoon which we shared with Giggleswick in the previous 12 months.

We all enjoyed the usual dinner and draw for the foursomes pairings on Sunday morning.

As usual we played on the championship course, one of the best inland courses in the UK, which is demanding with its deep bunkers and tree-lined fairways.
