The weather was rather poor for this event and this was the first time that I remember having to wear waterproof clothing for a putting competition.  Despite the weather, Simon Westgarth, Michael Hole (making his debut in an OW golfing event) and John MacKenzie put up a reasonable fight.  However, we must be fair-weather golfers as we finished bottom of the list.  At lease the food and wine was a great pick-up after a rather damp affair – so much for the British summer!
